Review: Aztec Diamond Equestrian Mesh Insert Fly Veil
Today I'm excited to review a product from one of my all-time favorite brands: Aztec Diamond Equestrian. You may have noticed a few of their products from photos in my previous posts, including their mesh insert fly veil that is the topic of today's post.
In Southern California if it's not the flies it's the wind and dust flying around irritating The Pony's sensitive ears. I've tried several fly veils in the past. Yes, they are serviceable and help The Pony focus on her work rather than whatever is in or around her ears making her life hard.
However, The Pony has mule ears that in some styles of ear bonnet make her big 'ol ears bend to fit into. Some styles where the ears fit well the front part is much too long and comes down too close over her eyes as her face below the ears is pony/cob size. Added to these fit issues, she sweats a lot year round and soaks most ear veils. Eww.
When I discovered Aztec Diamond Equestrian (ADE), a British company, last summer on Instagram I was drawn immediately to the stylish ear veils they offer.
What made me eager to order:
1) The style is beautiful with attention to detail.
2) The fly veil has mesh inserts on the front and on the back of the ears for air circulation.
3) Three different sizes with a detailed sizing chart so you order the perfect ear veil size for your pony/horse.
4) Three colors, black, white, and navy are offered that also match the ADE jumping and dressage saddle pads.
5) The price is very reasonable.
When the navy mesh insert ear veil from Aztec Diamond Equestrian arrived, along with a few other goodies I couldn't resist, it was perfect. The fabric is light-weight, the fit and cut is flattering, and the quality overall is super.
**Please Note: I have not been paid to review any of the products I post. I am an adult eventer with a full-time job that is decidedly non-horsey.**

The large fly veil also fit The Pony's ears without squishing her ears at all. The little details of the Aztec Diamond logo on the front and the right ear look stylish without being overdone. With the mesh inserts sweat is kept to a bare minimum, and the fly veil seems very comfortable for The Pony overall.
At every show and schooling I've used our Aztec Diamond Equestrian fly veil, I always get comments from people about how much they like the look of it. The ADE fly veil has become so indispensable that I ordered a second one as a back up recently. Now I can have one to use if the other is in the wash.

ADE's Mesh Insert Fly Veil is very easy to wash. I machine wash cold, gentle cycle with like colors and air dry. I have used the fly veil for a few months so it's been washed multiple times, and still looks brand new.
You can get your own Aztec Diamond Equestrian Fly Veil, saddle pads, base layers, breeches, leggings, and more at: https://aztecdiamondequestrian.com/
Look out for reviews in the future of other Aztec Diamond Equestrian products I have used a good deal and cannot say enough great things about! I'm hooked on their breeches, base layers, and leggings, in addition to their fly veils.
Until next time, happy riding! 🐴
